Joan Lliteras, of Barcelona, Spain, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at the age of 83. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and dedication to his community. Joan is survived by his companion, Tina Roig; his son, Bernat; his daughter-in-law; and his grandson.

Joan joined Integra International with his firm, ABGL, S.L., in April 1999. Very quickly, he became a member of the EMEIA Board, a position he held until his retirement from his firm in July 2009. After his retirement, Joan became New Member Manager for Integra EMEIA, a role he fulfilled with joy and dedication. Many of the new members he brought to Integra remain members of the association and became good friends of Joan.

Between 2004 and 2023, Joan hosted the annual Integra EMEIA Board Meeting in Barcelona. The traditional Saturday evening dinner at Joan’s Basque Cooking Society, “Euskalzaleak,” became legendary. EMEIA Board members prepared dinner under the experienced and watchful eye of Chef Joan, and all invited guests enjoyed excellent Catalan food in cheerful company. Joan loved good food, good drinks, and good company, and he shared this enthusiasm with those around him.

For all the years we were privileged to know him, we admired his joy of life, his boundless warmth, and his true friendship. Joan will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
