Experience and Expertise

Michael has more than 35 years of accounting and tax experience. A member of the firm’s Tax Planning and Compliance Practice, he has particular expertise in corporate and multi-state income tax returns and payroll tax returns. In addition, he is skilled in preparing and analyzing company financial statements, budgets, forecasts and estate planning.

Michael also has extensive experience creating bookkeeping systems in QuickBooks® and helps clients troubleshoot and maximize the value of their accounting software programs.

Michael has a keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities privately held businesses face. Prior to joining MW&A, he worked for more than 25 years in a family business that operated a group of restaurants in Illinois and Wisconsin. Michael was an owner and was eventually responsible for all aspects of accounting and finance.
