Annise Brokstein has a bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College and a master’s from SUNY at Buffalo. She has attended Cal State Hayward and Golden Gate University. She has twenty-nine years of experience in public accounting. Annise’s experience includes audit, review, management consulting services, and litigation support. Annise joined a large regional CPA firm located in the San Francisco Bay Area prior to forming Brokstein & Rosen CPAs, LLP. Her audit practice includes clients in manufacturing, retail, wholesale and service industries, as well as associations, nonprofit organizations, the United States Coast Guard, special districts and real estate projects insured by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). She is a member of the AICPA and the California Society of CPAs.
Annise has played in active role in the California Society of CPA’s, having served many leadership positions in this 40,000 member organization including: State Treasurer (1998-1999) and Vice President (1999-2000). In 2009, she was awarded the “CPA Executive of the year” award for exemplary leadership and community service. Annise serves on many state and local level committees, currently including as a director of the Society’s Political Action Committee (PAC). Annise accumulated substantially more than the required hours of continuing professional education in accounting and auditing over the past two years.
Annise’s community service is evidenced by her board service to Jewish Family and Children’s Services of East Bay during which time she served as treasurer for two years and was a member of the audit committee. She is currently a member of the board of the Mary Sarvis Foundation.
